The Last Day

Today is the last day of the year 2006. Time has gone by fast, too fast.

I finished .Hack//GU! Wonderful game too bad I have to wait for the next volume to continue with the story but I'll be patient. At least it's only three volumes instead of four.

2007. One step closer to everything. Eh.

I guess I'm ready to take on the rest of the school year, take on the AP World History exam, Drill Team Competitions at Birdville and Mesquite, prepare for my junior year at high school...great... It's going to be a long, busy, and hopefully a wonderful year.

Hopefully I can write more on this xanga cause I know I have some friends who read this just to keep in touch with me. *sigh*

Hopefully I can trash some old habits and kick in some new ones.

Less than three hours.

Well, next time I update I want to have a new layout. Something different just a new look. Don't worry I still like Haku. Just need to fix up my xanga when I get the time, like now.

I'll guess I'll do one of these today. I came across this one while I was reading my word of the day emails.

Merry Christmas!

I thought I might as well update while I can. It's Christmas day so.

Merry Christmas!

We opened up presents two days earlier than Christmas day. ^.^ Because some of us couldn't wait, really only my mom couldn't. I didn't get too much stuff but I'm happy with what I got, actually I'm really happy. ^.^ One of the things I got was the new .Hack game, .Hack//G.U!!! Heh, the game is so amazing, nothing like the previous ones, nothing like I expected.

School starts January 4th, still got about a week of break and game play time. Hopefully, I can update before then cause I have to get off right now.  I'll update I guess on New Year's since I'm always on the internet during the countdown.

Neon Genesis Evangelion

"If it's true that it [Neon Genesis Evangelion] has become popular in many countries, then it means the whole world feels the same disease of the soul. This isn't something we should be happy about." Yoshiyuki Sadamoto

Finally! An Update!

Today is the Sweetest Day for the United States of America.
It's a holiday.

Sorry I haven't updating since last month. I've been both busy and lazy. Not many things have happened since I last updated. It's the same old stuff. Kind of get tired of it though.

School's has been stressful as always. We just finished our first 9 weeks and something I expected to happen but non one else has expected to happen. So I finally got a B on my report since like what 6th grade. And I dealt with it. I realized way before report cards were goingto come out that I was going to get a B in AP World History anyways. I guess my mom has accepted it but says that I got to do better next time. She wants an A next time. I know this upcoming 9 weeks is going to harder but I realized I was pretty lazy last 9 weeks so I have to kick my butt to stay on course for the rest of my sophmore year.

We ran into some problems for Drill Team. Grades like always. So for right now I'm second in command of the drill team. I moved up but I wouldn't really call it a good thing. I'm still stressing over my Key Club position and I've joined Interact. I'm busy I know. I think I'm going to really enjoy my sophmore year. I know a lot is happening but to me it seems they are good things.

I will be updating my xanga less since I'm trying to focus more into school activities then just wasting my time always being on the internet. So don't hate me for less entries, at least I still do xanga and not myspace.

I turned 16 on October 3rd, I was going to update my xanga then but I was too busy.

It's the same old same old entries. I'll try updating later.

The Hedgehog's Dilemma

Have you ever heard of "the hedgehog's dilemma?" The hedgehog's dilemma states that "the closer two beings come to each other, the more likely they are to hurt each other; however if they remain apart, they will each feel the pain of loneliness," This concept derives from the idea developed by Arthur Schopenhauer who saw a group of hedgehogs huddling close together for warmth. He then described that the hedgehogs struggled to find the right distance in order to see warmth yet not hurt each other with their sharp quills on their back. To avoid the pain the hedgehogs must sacrifice warmth for comfort, but Schopenhauer also concluded, "If someone has enough internal warmth, he or she can avoid society and the giving and receiving of irritation that results from social interaction."

Actually, this situation described by Schopenhauer is false because now we know that actually in reality, hedgehogs have no problems being close together since their quills lay flat when they relax avoiding the threat of poking one another. Yet, it can be true when referred to human beings. "If two people come to care about and trust each other, something bad that happens to one of them will hurt the other as well, and dishonesty between the two could cause even greater problems." Sigmund Freud later discovered this concept and adopted it into psychology.

So what will you choose? Will you choose to get close to another in order to receive warmth? Are you willing to sacrifice the comfort and experience the pain that will come with it? Or will you choose to avoid that pain and warmth for comfort yet experience the pain of loneliness because of that choice? Or maybe...you have enough internal warmth you can avoid society and avoid the pain that is caused by another. You have to choose...it's your dilemma.
